Who am I?

My name is Vivian Matos, and I am the founder of Refresh Coaching and the R.I.S.E. Support Group.

My life story includes childhood trauma, emotional abuse, confusion, narcissistic relationships, single parenting, and surviving long seasons lived in “survival mode.” It is also a journey of resilience, hope, faith, and the courage to overcome the odds. My story stands as a testament to the strength of the human spirit and a reminder that with faith, commitment, and a renewed mindset, transformation is always possible. It is, at its core, a story of love, forgiveness, and healing.

This journey inspired me to pursue professional training, earning certifications in Christian Life Coaching, Christian MinistryDementia/Alzheimer’s and a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science.

In addition, my work is deeply rooted in Emotional Intelligence (EI)—the ability to recognize, understand, and manage emotions in ourselves and others. Strengthening EI has been essential in my healing and in the support, I provide to clients. I help individuals develop emotional awareness, healthy communication, boundaries, resilience, and confidence—skills that lead to meaningful growth in their personal, relational, and spiritual lives.

Through my life experiences, I’ve learned that science and spirituality are complementary, not contradictory. Science helps us understand how we function. Spirituality helps us understand why we are here. When combined, they offer a holistic and transformative approach to healing and personal development. This integration allows me to support clients in mind, body, and spirit, providing grounded, compassionate, and practical guidance.

I am grateful for every lesson and for every person who has been part of my journey. My story is one of restoration, and it is one I am honored to use to help others who are facing similar hardships. If you are seeking clarity, emotional healing, spiritual renewal, or support in stepping into your purpose, I am here to walk with you—one step at a time.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
